About me
I am based in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire where I live with my amazing husband and three wonderful kids. As well as my passion for music I love to lift weights, dance like no one’s watching, cook and eat good food, and also explore Europe and enjoy the sunshine in my motorhome with the family.
As an experienced teacher, coach and performer I have been performing and teaching individuals and groups, conducting choirs and providing workshops for over 13 years now; including teaching in person from my home studio and over zoom locally and internationally. I have a degree in Music with Drama from the University of Huddersfield and also have 8 years experience teaching in local schools as a peripatetic music teacher.
As a multi genre and versatile vocalist I have performance experience singing in various styles such as classical, pop, soul, jazz and musical theatre. I am also an experienced singing pianist, regularly performing for Weddings and events throughout the country, including destination weddings. Other ensembles include my five-piece party band ZANG and also my singing waiters act. Recent projects include releasing my first EP in 2021 as a singer song writer and taking leading acting roles in the Addams Family Musical (2022), Ghost the Musical (2023) and School of Rock (2025).
Live performances
I am a multi genre vocalist, pianist and entertainer and proud finalist for the North of England Wedding awards 2024 in the singer’s category. As a trained professional vocalist and performer, I can always provide and tailor the perfect event package for you, whatever the desired setting for you event.
With a versatile background in singing pop, soul, jazz, classical, musical theatre and rock music; no request is too out of reach and I have hundreds of songs to choose from in my repertoire, which is being continually added to make sure your event always has that personal touch. Perhaps you envisage beautiful acoustic music sung and played on my portable baby grand piano, or alternatively to entertain your guests as a singing waitress.

"Esme went above and beyond to make our wedding day magical and keeping our guests entertained. From the start, Esme was always contactable, her set list is amazing, the hardest part was choosing which songs to cut. On our wedding day, we were desperate for an outdoor drinks reception, the great British weather had other ideas and Esme’s beautiful set was temporarily rained off. Esme kindly stayed over her booked time to finish the set for our wedding breakfast. An incredible caring touch and something we’ll never forget. Lessons
I am dedicated to providing individually tailored lessons for all ages and abilities. I teach from my home based studio where students can feel at ease and family or friends can sit for the duration of the lessons in the studio or in the comfortable adjacent room and enjoy a hot drink and relax. I also provide lessons via Zoom internationally and locally to suit the needs of every student.
I have a BA in Music with Drama and 13 years experience teaching individuals privately and also small ensembles and larger groups for the local music service as a peripatetic music teacher. I have entered several students for music exams each year and over the course of my teaching career have had 100% pass rate with exam boards ABRSM, Trinity, Trinity Rock & Pop and LCM Music Theatre. I am a versitile multi genre singing teacher and coach and explore a variety of techniques and styles such as Classical, Pop, Music Theatre, Opera and Jazz. I also provide piano accompaniment in all my lessons and offer piano lessons up to Grade 5.
If desired, I can also combine singing with piano and provide tuition for song writing and music theory. I have taught singing pupils from beginner level to professional and have helped them successfully audition and achieve places at many acclaimed theatre schools such as The Hammond, Arts Ed, Guilford School of Acting and Mountview. I have also coached professional performers who have performed in West End musicals, on television and also have cruise ship contracts as well as other touring musicians.
